Six newcomers in Limerick panel

Limerick football manager John Brudair has named six faces in his initial panel for 2016.

Rathkeale's Paul White, Paul Hannon (Newcastle West), Sean McSweeney (St Kierans), Sean Flanagan (Feohanagh-Castlemahon), Mike Donovan (Galbally) and Tommy Childs (Galtee Gaels) are the newcomers named in the 28-man squad by Brudair and his selectors, Mike Fahy and Declan Brouder.

Hannon and team captain Iain Corbet are amongst four members of the Newcastle West side which captured the Limerick SFC last year, while Ian Ryan and Gearoid Hegarty have been confirmed as joint vice-captains.

Paudie Browne and Stephen Kelly have also made returns to the panel.

The Shannonsiders, whom lost their McGrath Cup opener to Cork by a point last Sunday. take on Waterford in round two in Rathkeale on January 17.
