Loughinisland (Down) 4-1

Bundoran (Donegal) 0-7

Loughinisland captured the Ulster club intermediate football title at Owenbeg today, despite registering just a single point and going 42 minutes without a score against Bundoran.

The Down champions grabbed three goals in the final 10 minutes to leave their Donegal counterparts - who had been the better team for long stages - shell-shocked.

Loughinisland got off to a dream start when Seamus O'Hare netted in the second minute. Bundoran fought back to level at half-time, 0-4 to 1-1, and looked the more likely winners until Paddy McKenny struck for the Down side's second goal to give them a 2-1 to 0-5 lead with 10 minutes to go.

Bundoran levelled through points from Alan Russell and Christy Keaney, but late goals from a Rory Mason free and Sean Cochrane secured the spoils for Loughinisland on a bizarre scoreline.
