Saturday's International Rules Test between Ireland and Australia is expected to attract less than 40,000 spectators.

The figure will still beat the disappointing 28,525 attendance which turned up when the Aussies last visited Dublin two years ago. However, it will be way down on the near-capacity 82,127 crowd that watched the second Test in 2006, and the 61,842 which attended in 2010.

Despite the decline in public interest, this year's Test match will feature two of the strongest teams ever to take part in the series.
