Next Sunday's scheduled hoganstand.com Meath SFC final has been put back until Bank Holiday Monday, October 26 to avoid a clash with Ireland's Rugby World Cup quarter-final against Argentina.

The Navan O'Mahony's v Na Fianna showdown was due to take place this day week, but a decision was taken by Meath county board to postpone it by eight days following Ireland's victory over France this evening. Gate receipts for last Sunday's Meath IFC final were well down on normal due to the clash with the Ireland v Italy rugby game and Royal County officials don't want a repeat of that scenario for their showpiece game.

The JFC final between Dunsany and Curraha will also be played on the October Bank Holiday Monday.
