Derry celebrate their Ulster MFC Final win over Cavan at Clones. INPHO

Derry manager Damian McErlain has called on his players to rise to the challenge in Saturday's All-Ireland MFC quarterfinal.

The Sides meet at Brewster Park this weekend and following their first provincial title win in 13 years at any level, McErlain has urged his side to continue their quest.

Since beating defending Ulster champions Donegal in the semi-final, many have raved about the strength of this current Derry side, but McErlain has stressed to the County Derry Post that this is a whole new ball game now.

"It's about how ambitious are they? Are they happy with an Ulster title and think they've done great or do they want to kick on and show their ambition," said McErlain.

"Can they bring their hunger and desire and work rate all to the table against Longford? How much do they want to play in Croke Park? I think that ambition is there but we've got to step up on the day and show that."
