Mayo's attacking options for Sunday week's Connacht SFC final against Sligo have been boosted by the return to fitness of Evan Regan and Mickey Conroy.

The Western People is reporting that Regan played a full hour for Ballina Stephenites in their SFL Division 1A defeat to Davitts, for whom Conroy starred.
It was Regan's first full game since he fractured his collarbone in Mayo's Allianz League opener against Kerry on February 1. Regan returned to county training in April, only to suffer a recurrence of his collarbone injury.

Regan marked his return by scoring 1-2 in the first half of yesterday's game, but he was outdone by Conroy, who accounted for 0-8 of Davitts' tally of 1-13. Conroy had missed his club's SFC clash with Ballyhaunis a week earlier because of an ongoing Achilles problem.

Mayo fine-tuned their preparations for the Connacht final by defeating Leinster finalists Westmeath in a behind-closed-doors challenge match in Castlebar yesterday.
