Former Kerry star Declan O'Sullivan has been working with the Kerry minor footballers.

Jack O'Connor called in the Dromid Pearses great to provide some coaching to his U18s, who put their Munster title on the line against Tipperary in Sunday's final in Killarney. Naturally, the five-times All-Ireland winner has made a big impression!

"Declan has come in on a number of occasions and done drills and some work with the forward line," backroom team member Eamon Whelan told The Irish Independent. "He has been hugely energetic; he has shown a massive passion for the game. I think that he has been outstanding with the lads and I think that the young fellows have responded to him.

"As well has helping out, in the semi-final at Austin Stack Park against Cork, [he was] the eye in the stand. Declan has added a new dimension and while we as a management team are very happy that we work very well together, we feel that Declan's input has enhanced the preparations.

"To be learning from one of the greatest forwards of the modern era must be a positive."
