Team news: Royals include six newcomers

Meath's Nicky Judge

Meath have named a new-look team for Sunday's Leinster SFC quarter-final against Wicklow at Pairc Tailteann.

Defenders James McEntee, David Dalton, Nicky Judge and Brian Power, midfielder Harry Rooney and attacker Joseph Wallace will all make their first championship starts for the Royals.

Injuries to six first-team regulars in Kevin Reilly, Conor Gillespie, Conor McGill, Bryan Menton, Mickey Newman and Shane O'Rourke has forced manager Mick O'Dowd into a reshuffle of his starting fifteen.

Reilly has a longstanding hip issue while Gillespie has been struggling with a knee problem and McGill, Menton, Newman and O'Rourke are all ruled out with hand/finger injuries.

Paddy O'Rourke, Donncha Tobin, Donal Keogan, Adam Flanagan, Padraic Harnan, Andrew Tormey and Stephen Bray are the only survivors from the team that started the All-Ireland qualifier defeat to Armagh last August.

Meath (SF v Wicklow) - Patrick O Rourke; James McEntee, Donncha Tobin, David Dalton; Nicky Judge, Donal Keogan, Brian Power: Harry Rooney, Adam Flanagan; Graham Reilly, Padraic Harnan, Andrew Tormey; Joseph Wallace, Stephen Bray, Brian McMahon.
