Donegal GAA chairman Sean Dunnion has revealed that they have sent the Tyrone County Board evidence of the alleged 'sledging' incident in their Ulster MFC clash.

It is alleged that some Tyrone players made derogatory remarks to Donegal player Michael Carroll whose father Francie died of cancer in early 2014.

Donegal manager Declan Bonner first brought the alleged incident to national attention and now the county board chairman has stated that they have evidence.

"In relation to press coverage of incidents that happened in our minor championship game against Tyrone, all I want to say is that we are aware of the incidents from early in the game," Dunnion told the Donegal Democrat.

"We carried out an extensive investigation into the incidents subsequent to the game and have forwarded that information to the Tyrone county board.

"We are 100 per cent satisfied of the veracity of the incident that took place in the course of the game and we are now leaving it in their hands as we look forward to the Ulster semi-final."
