Lorcan McLoughlin says Cork must improve 100% if they're to reverse their league final defeat to Waterford.

Na Deise prevailed by ten points in Sunday's decider at Thurles and the teams are due to meet again at the same venue in a Munster SHC semi-final on June 7th.

"All across the board, every aspect of our game needs to improve 100% and it was no surprise the gameplan Waterford had or the workrate they would bring," McLoughlin states in The Irish Daily Mirror.

"There is no excuse for that performance because we knew what was coming and with our own performance we got what we deserve. It's a national league final, there was silverware up for grabs, and Waterford played with a hunger and intensity.

"They played like champions from the start and we didn't turn up again. It's hugely disappointing and hard to put a finger on it because we prepared as best we could. Waterford's attitude was spot on and we have a lot to work on and a lot to improve."
