Tyrone selector Peter Canavan is expecting a physical challenge from Tipperary in Saturday's All-Ireland U21FC final.

Noting how Tyrone's players "aren't the biggest", Canavan told the Irish News: "In Tipperary, we're probably facing one of the most physical teams that we have played before. Their spine is physically very strong and they have a lot of big men, so we're going to be faced with a difficult proposition."

Canavan, himself a former All-Ireland U21 winner, is calling on Tyrone supporters to travel in large numbers to Parnell Park.

"The support that we had in the last campaigns that we won All-Irelands in the 1990s and early 2000s, when Cormac (McAnallen) won it, Tyrone support was brilliant, and it made a significant impression on the players.

"So we'd like to think that Tyrone supporters will come out and give these boys every bit of help that they can and push them over the line."
