Aogan O Fearghail insists Croke Park will not be renamed during his term as GAA president.

While refusing to rule out the naming rights to GAA headquarters being sold at some stage in the future, O Fearghail says it won't be happening anytime soon.

"Could it happen in 20-50 years? It might, but I'm absolutely adamant that it won't happen in my presidency and I don't think it's going to happen in the short term because we have other ways of generating income at Croke Park," he is quoted in the Irish News.

"Take Kingspan Breffni Park, apart from a championship match once every couple of years or an odd big game, they don't really have a method of bringing in an income so they sell the naming rights.

"In Croke Park, we have a facility where we can generate other income - we're having Ed Sheeran there, we've having The Script there. We're able to bring in an income.

"Naming rights is a different issue, we don't need to do that at Croke Park. I wouldn't be keen on it and it'll not happen."
