Kilkenny will welcome back their Ballyhale Shamrocks players for next Sunday's relegation playoff against Clare.
Apart from goalkeeper Richie Reid who was among the subs, the remainder of the All-Ireland club champions' contingent weren't involved in yesterday's one-point win over the Banner. With an announcement on his inter-county future expected in the coming days, it remains to be seen if Henry Shefflin will return for another campaign.
I'd say they will be back in action alright," Kilkenny manager Brian Cody said of the Ballyhale contingent.
"They will be training, we don't know what kind of a team we will have, but they will be re-joining the panel."
Cody admitted that the Cats are eager to retain their top flight status.
"We don't want to be relegated, but I suppose if we are relegated or if Clare are relegated, either Kilkenny or Clare could still win the league next year - that's the reality of it, the way the league is.
"Do we want to win next Sunday? Of course we want to win next Sunday. Do Clare want to win? Of course they want to win."
