It was judgement day in the national hurling league as the final round of matches took place in the various divisions.
A number of key issues were resolved today, with some fascinating shoot-outs taking place nationwide.
The Division 1B meeting of Wexford and Waterford at Wexford Park determined who won promotion to the top flight, while Clare and Dublin were both battling to avoid joining holders Kilkenny in the Division 1A relegation final.
Meanwhile, with both sides safely through to the quarter-finals, the all-Munster derby between Tipperary and Cork would decide who finishes top of Division 1A.
There were many issues to be resolved in the lower divisions, with Westmeath V Carlow (2A), Meath V Down (2B), Tyrone V Roscommon (3A) and Warwickshire V Leitrim (3B) all critical contests in their respective sections.
