Tyrone manager Mickey Harte may have to plan without the services of Cathal McCarron for Sunday's FL Division 1 clash away to Cork while Barry Tierney looks to be definitely out.

Both defenders picked up injuries against Dublin last Saturday night with McCarron asking to be replaced in the 54th minute.

"He was concerned about his hamstring, because he had a bit of bother with it a few weeks ago, and he nursed it through and it worked well," Mickey Harte explained to The Irish News.

"It actually hasn't gone, but he was afraid it was going to go, so it was a wise decision that he made to come off, rather than be out for a month. He made the decision to come off when he was wary of it.

"Barry Tierney rolled his ankle, which is unfortunate too. But these things happen as well, and he'll probably be out for a week or two."
