Brosna (Kerry) 0-8
John Mitchel's (Lancashire) 0-5

A strong first half showing laid the foundations for Brosna's victory over John Mitchel's in today's All-Ireland club JFC final at Croke Park.

The men in orange became the sixth Kerry club to win this competition and, in doing so, inflicted more heartbreak on their Liverpool opponents, who also suffered defeat to Skellig Rangers in the 2009 final.

Brosna dominated the first half and should really have been more than four points clear - 0-5 to 0-1 - at the interval. Adam Barry and man of the match Dave Curtin were among their scorers in an opening half which yielded just a single score for Mitchel's from the boot of Westmeath's Kieran Lynam in the 20th minute.

The Lancashire champions were much improved after the restart and quickly reduced the deficit to two points. Brosna earned themselves some breathing space again before points from Mitchel's substitutes Conal McGlade and John McDermott set up a grandstand finish.

But a late Michael Finnegan point sealed an historic victory for the Kerry men.
