Meath have named their starting XV to take on Kildare in the opening round of the National Hurling League Division 2B at Trim. The team shows no changes from the side that defeated Wicklow with ease in the Kehoe Cup final last Sunday at Lomans Park.

The last time these two counties met was in the 2014 Christy Ring Cup semi final. A late scoring burst from the Kildare men saw them prevail 1-18 to 1-14 also at the Meath venue
