Corn Ui Mhuiri: holders to face Rochestown in decider

Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne will meet Rochestown College in the Corn Ui Mhuiri (Munster PP SF 'A') final on February 28 following wins over Clonakilty CC and St. Brendan's, Killarney this afternoon.

Hogan Cup holders Chorca Dhuibhne kept up their four-in-a-row quest with a double-scores victory, 0-12 to 0-6, in Knocknagree. At half-time, Clonakilty trailed by a single point, 0-4 to 0-5,, and they remained in contention until the final 10 minutes when the Kerry side pulled away.

Rochestown College remain on course for a Harty and Corn Ui Mhuiri double after wing back Sean Powter's late point handed them a dramatic 1-10 to 1-9 victory over traditional powerhouse St. Brendan's in the other semi-final at Mallow.

Ronan Buckley's goal helped 'Sem' to a 1-5 to 0-5 interval lead, but Daniel Meaney's 52nd minute major put Rochestown 1-9 to 1-7 ahead. St. Brendan's fought back to level, only for Powter to pop up with the winner.

The Cork school is also preparing for a Harty Cup final against Thurles CBS on February 21.
