Brian Lacey in action for Tipperary footballers

Former Kildare All-Star corner-back Brian Lacey is backing the Premier County to spring a surprise on Armagh in the Athletic Grounds this weekend.

The Tipperary native told Tipp FM that he believes Peter Creedon's charges may possess too much firepower for the Orchard County.

"Kieran McGeeney's teams are built around a defensive system and they're very strong and aggressive and physical. But I think that's one area where Tipperary could exploit them.

"I don't think they [Armagh] have the forwards up front to put up huge scores against a team whereas Tipperary does have a lot of natural forwards.

"If they can get a run at all against Armagh, Tipp have the scoring forwards to actually put up a good score and come out with a victory up there."
