Kilkenny champions Ballyhale Shamrocks have officially confirmed that they are nominating defender Joey Holden for the Kilkenny captaincy in 2015.

The reigning Kilkenny and Leinster club champions believe in rotating the captaincy wherever possible so 24-year-old full-back Holden gets the nod for next year as the likes of Henry Shefflin (2007), Michael Fennelly (2009), TJ Reid (2010) and Colin Fennelly (2013) have already held the honour.
