Tipperary secretary Tim Floyd has denied that Skoda has ended their lucrative sponsorship deal with the county.

It was reported during the week that the car manufacturer has decided not to extend the deal which has been running since 2011. It is believed that Skoda has invested in the region of €1 million in Tipperary GAA in that time. The sponsorship covers both the hurling and football codes and includes all inter-county teams from minor to senior.

Asked if the Tipperary county board was in the market for a new sponsor, Floyd told Tipp FM that negotiations with Skoda are "still ongoing".
