St Eunan's 0-9
Glenswilly 0-6
St. Eunan's dethroned Glenswilly in a low-scoring Donegal SFC final at Ballybofey to claim the coveted Dr Magurie Cup for a 14th time.
Conall Dunne hit 0-5 (0-4 from frees) as the younger Letterkenny outfit prevailed in a defensive struggle watched by a 6,000-strong crowd. Former county star John Haran was named man of the match after playing in his 12th county final.
Despite kicking eight first half wides, St. Eunan's held a slender 0-5 to 0-4 lead at the break. They had opened up a 0-4 to 0-1 lead through three points from Dunne before two points from Donegal captain Michael Murphy saw the holders close the gap to the minimum.
However, Conor Gibbons' point had St. Eunan's ahead at the short whistle.
Sean McVeigh and Gary McFadden traded scores on the restart before efforts from Dunne (free) and Conor Park restored Eunan's three-point advantage.
Murphy converted a '45' with eight minutes remaining, but Eunan's were able to hold out as Dunne sealed the win with a last-minute free.
