Moorefield 0-16
Sarsfields 1-13
Moorefield's quest for back-to-back Kildare SFC titles remains very much alive after they came from five points down with 11 minutes remaining to draw with Newbridge rivals Sarsfields at St. Conleth's Park.
Adam Tyrrell earned Luke Dempsey's side a replay next Sunday after Ray Cahill's scoring heroics had looked to have won the day for The Sash. Moorefield almost pulled off a sensational victory at the death, but a terrific block on Eanna O'Connor - son of former Kerry senior manager Jack - denied them.
Alan Smith set up Declan McKenna for the game's only goal in the 17th minute, but Sarsfields still trailed by 1-6 to 0-10 at the interval after late points from Eanna O'Connor and Niall Hurley-Lynch had edged the holders in front.
The Sash took control on the restart with a run of seven points. When the unerring Cahill knocked over his 10th point in the 49th minute they were five clear, but Moorefield refused to give up the ghost as Tyrrell's late leveller earned them another bite at the cherry.
