Kerry are on the lookout for a new minor selector after John Galvin mysteriously vacated the post.

County board officials in the Kingdom were understood to be shocked when they learned of Galvin's decision to step down, less than a month after helping the county to its first All-Ireland minor championship title in 20 years with victory over Donegal.

Galvin had only been 12 months into a two-year term with the team, acting as right-hand man to manager Jack O'Connor, who rated his services highly.

"I won't be back next year. I won't add anything else to that," Galvin confirmed in today's Irish Sun.
