Monaghan midfielder Darren Hughes has told Kildare manager Jason Ryan to let them worry about facing Dublin in Saturday's All-Ireland SFC quarter-final.

After watching his side make their exit last weekend, Ryan expressed the opinion that Monaghan's extra-time exertions could take their toll against Dublin but, speaking to the Irish Daily Star, Hughes responded: "That's not his problem, so it's not. We'll worry about that.

"It will be tough but we have prepared ourselves for every game as best as possible. Ah here, you're in an All-Ireland quarter-final. You're not going to start complaining. It's a great place to be. We're in a good place. It's our fault we didn't win an Ulster final.

"They're (Dublin) All-Ireland champions on merit and played some great football this year. They have great players and a great bench at their disposal.

"We'll sit down and analyse (the Kildare game) and get the legs ready as best as possible for next week.

"We've always put it up to them. We haven't really looked at them. We'll look at them in more detail as the week goes."
