Kerry 2-15
Kildare 1-8

A 12th minute Jordan Kiely goal sent Kerry on the road to victory over Kildare in the second of today's All-Ireland MFC quarter-finals at Semple Stadium.

Jack O'Connor's charges were fully deserving winners as Tomas O Se sealed the victory when raising their second green flag with six minutes remaining on the clock.

Micheal Burns opening the scoring in the 2nd minute but Kildare had established 0-4 to 0-3 lead - thanks to white flags from Ben McCormack (2), Conor Hartley and Sean Dempsey - before Kiely's goal put Kerry back in the driving seat.

The Lilywhites failed to score in the remainder of the first half and trailed by 0-4 to 1-7 at the halfway stage.

A converted McCormack free brought Kildare's barren spell to an end early in the second-half but there was no let up from the Munster champions who finished with 10-points to spare.

Shea Ryan fisted a goal for Kildare in the 50th minute, following good approach play by Dempsey, but their joy was short-lived as O Se replied at the other end of the field four minutes later.

Brendan Hackett's charges cause wasn't helped by a black card picked up by corner-back Sean Healy late in the first-half and corner-forward Michael Kelly's dismissal in the second-half.

Kerry's reward is a last four clash against Mayo.
