The last two All-Ireland SFC quarter-final places were up for grabs this afternoon.

Beaten provincial finalists Meath and Monaghan were looking to get their campaigns back on track in today's doubleheader at Croke Park.

First up at 5pm was the meeting of Meath and an Armagh side that has grown in confidence with each round of the qualifiers.

This was followed at 7pm by the clash between Monaghan and Kildare. The Lilywhites struggled to see off Clare in the last round and needed to produce a much improved performance against the Ulster side, if they were to progress in this year's championship.

Before those two games, there was the first of this year's All-Ireland minor football championship quarter-finals down for decision as Donegal and Roscommon met at Markievicz Park. Throw in there at 3pm.
