Late fadeout concerns Conroy

Galway captain Paul Conroy admits the concession of three late goals against a battling Tipperary side is a major worry ahead of next Sunday's All-Ireland SFC quarter-final against Kerry.

In a game that saw rising Galway star Shane Walsh score a contender for 'most outrageous point of the championship', the Tribesmen lost their shape late on, but still had five points to spare as they set up a repeat of their classic 2008 All-Ireland quarter-final encounter with the Kingdom.

"We're relieved really," Conroy said on Sky Sports afterwards.

"With 20 minutes to go, we were cruising but we were shaky towards the end there and conceded a lot of soft goals which isn't good enough at this level. So we're relieved to get through.

"Mentally I suppose you think you've the game won and that creeps into lads' heads. That was half the reason we were shaky in the last few minutes. We've a lot of work to do. We struggled with the runners against Tipp. Kerry are a good side and we'll have a lot to do to be up to their level."
