Limerick minor manager Brian Ryan is adamant that an extra game in the Munster MHC is just what the doctor ordered.

The Shannonsiders must do it all again in the provincial decider after Waterford scored a late goal to seal a draw in last Sunday's final at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

Now, the sides meet in the replay at Semple Stadium, Thurles on Tuesday evening and Ryan believes that the extra game will help bring them on further.

"It is ideal preparation for an All-Ireland semi final," a confident Ryan told the Limerick Leader. "That is the way we a re looking at it. We had a lot of good players out there that played well. We had a few wides in the second half which we will need to work on with some shooting practice.

He added: "The fact we drew the Munster final means we have another game in 10 days time. Our big aim here is the All-Ireland title. Of course, we would love to win the Munster title along the way but our ultimate goal is to win the All-Ireland."
