Terry Hyland has reacted to Cavan's six-point defeat to Armagh by making four changes, one which is enforced, for Saturday's All-Ireland SFC Qualifiers clash with Westmeath at Breffni Park.

Cootehill Celtic's Joshua Hayes (right half back) and Robert Maloney Derham (left half back) of Cavan Gaels have been drafted into the defence, while in attack, there are starts for U21 star Michael Argue (right half forward) and Michael Lyng (centre forward).

Dara McVeety, Killian Brady, Eugene Keating and Fergal Flanagan are the players who drop out.

Along with Martin Dunne - who is set to be sideliined for at least a month with a hand injury - corner back Flanagan was hit with a one-match suspension following the CCCC's investigation into the pre-match brawl that marred their Ulster SFC meeting against the Orchard County in the Athletic Grounds three weeks ago.

Cavan (SFC v Westmeath): Conor Gilsenan; Jason McLoughlin, Rory Dunne, Alan Clarke; Joshua Hayes, James McEnroe, Robert Maloney Derham; Damien O'Reilly, Gearoid McKiernan; Michael Argue, Michael Lyng, Niall McDermott; Jack Brady, David Givney, Martin Reilly.
