The Round 1 Hurling Draw takes place on Monday morning on Morning Ireland.

This round involves the eight teams defeated in both the Munster and Leinster quarter and semi-finals.

The initial phase of the draw will see one of Laois or Antrim, having come from the Qualifier Group in Leinster, drawn against one of the remaining three Leinster teams (Offaly, Wexford or the losers of Kilkenny/Galway) to form the first fixture. The remaining team from the qualifier group (Laois or Antrim) will then be drawn against a Munster team (Tipperary, Clare, Waterford).

The final two fixtures will see the remaining two Leinster teams drawn in fixtures against the remaining two Munster teams.

Venues will be on a home and away basis, and the draw is subject to the avoidance of Repeat Pairings meaning the following fixtures cannot happen:

Antrim v Laois

Galway v Laois

Antrim v Wexford
