Nash can't see Cusack taking Limerick role

Donal Og Cusack on the set of The Sunday Game
Anthony Nash will be surprised if Donal Og Cusack is appointed as Donal O'Grady's replacement in Limerick.

O'Grady stepped down from his role as joint Limerick hurling manager on Sunday night, leaving TJ Ryan to plough a lone furrow for the time being at least. Former Cork 'keeper Cusack has been linked to the vacancy, but Nash - who was his understudy for many years - can't see it happening.

"He seems to be a very professional guy when it comes to training and his analysis now on the TV," the Kanturk man is quoted as saying in the Irish Daily Star.

"It's not something I'd watch. I don't go and watch TV after games so I haven't seen an awful lot of it, but from what I've heard he's been very good at it.

"He would be good friends with Donal O'Grady. So whether he would go in after that then, I couldn't imagine that coming to the fore.

"Now I might be proven wrong, I'm sure when he does get hold of a team or start training teams, he will do a fantastic job."
