Tipperary are sweating over the availability of ace forward Barry Grogan ahead of Saturday week's All-Ireland qualifier opener against Galway.

Grogan sustained a broken finger when lining out for Aherlow in a club hurling contest over the weekend.

His loss for the trip to Pearse Stadium would seriously undermine Peter Creedon side's chances of coming away with a win.

Creedon is already resigned to be being without promising young attacker Michael Quinlivan.
