Brian McIver hopes all Derry's injuries clear up in time for the Sligo game.
The Foylesiders host the Yeats County on Sunday week, June 30th in the first-ever championship match to be staged at Owenbeg and McIver's wish is that he'll be able to select from a full deck.
At the moment, the likes of PJ McCloskey, Barry McGoldrick, Dermot McBride, Michael Bateson and Sean Leo McGoldrick are all pushing to be in contention.
"We will be hoping for a bit of good fortune on the injury front," the Oak Leaf manager told The Irish News.
"We would also be hopeful that a few more of the injuries that we've had have cleared up fully, meaning we could face Sligo with a full squad to choose from.
"Sligo will be coming to Derry with a point to prove, so it's going to be a big task for us.
"They'll have been disappointed with the first-round loss in the provincial competition and will view this as a chance to get the season back on track."
