The hoganstand.com football team of the week
Cavan, Cork, Mayo and Meath scored championship wins over the weekend and they are well represented on the hoganstand.com football team of the week. There is also some consolation for Wicklow, Fermanagh and Clare.

1. Paddy O'Rourke (Meath)

O'Rourke's save from Seanie Furlong's penalty in the 31st minute was a major turning point in the Aughrim clash on Saturday evening.

2. Keith Higgins (Mayo)

The Mayo corner-back was, once again, a model of consistency and also roamed forward to get his name on the scoresheet with a point.

3. Kevin Reilly (Meath)

His 'freak' goal aside, the Meath captain produced a commanding performance and held Wicklow danger man Seanie Furlong scoreless from play.

4. Paddy McWalter (Wicklow)

McWalter's direct opponent Damien Carroll was called ashore but the Garden County defender's efforts proved to be in vain.

5. James Loughrey (Cork)

Antrim's loss is Cork's gain, half-back Loughrey stood out for the Rebels in their nine-point victory over Clare at Ennis.

6. Alan Clarke (Cavan)

The Breffni County's number six stood firm as Fermanagh launched their second half comeback in Brewster Park.

7. Colm Boyle (Mayo)

Boyle enhanced his burgeoning reputation when adding to his long list of top notch individual displays against the Rossies.

8. Eoin Donnelly (Fermanagh)

Returned to the Fermanagh line-up after sustaining a broken leg during the FL Division 3 campaign and his direct running caused plenty of headaches for the Breffni County rearguard.

9. Gary Brennan (Clare)

Midfielder Brennan can consider himself unfortunate to have ended up on the losing side in Ennis as he carried the fight to Cork and scored his team's goal.

10. Cian Mackey (Cavan)

Mackey's high work-rate was a vital ingredient in his side's two-point win over Fermanagh.

11. Fintan Goold (Cork)

Goold sent over four points from play as holders Cork booked a return to the Munster SFC final.

12. Graham Reilly (Meath)

Reilly put on an exhibition of point taking against the Garden County and his four points came at crucial times in the contest.

13. Martin Dunne (Cavan)

When the game against Fermanagh was in the melting pot, the Cavan Gaels sharpshooter came up trumps for Terry Hyland's side.

14. Alan Freeman (Mayo)

Freeman created plenty of headaches for the Roscommon full-back line who struggled to cope with his aerial power.

15. Daniel Goulding (Cork)

Not for the first time, Goulding finished as the Rebel County's top scorer with 1-5, 0-3 from frees, against Clare.
