Canavan: both teams have improved

Fermanagh manager Peter Canavan
Peter Canavan believes both Fermanagh and Cavan are better now than when they met in the All-Ireland qualifiers last summer.
The Breffnimen triumphed on that occasion, and Canavan knows they will be a tough nut to crack once again on Sunday when the neighbouring counties meet at Brewster Park for a place in the Ulster SFC semi-final against Monaghan.
"We sacrificed a lot of fitness training last year in order to get promoted and win National League games (in Division 4)," the Erne County boss explained to the Irish News.
"We'd like to think we're in a better position than last year, but we're under no illusions that Cavan are in a better position than last year as well.
"Cavan were very strong (against Armagh) and it didn't surprise me that they won. We know from past experience the quality they possess - they put 3-13 past us in the qualifiers last year and we played them in the league this year (Fermanagh winning by two points).
"So they've quality players and I think they displayed that in buckets against Armagh and should have won the game by more for the chances that they created."
