White can't wait for Sunday

May 23, 2013

Louth's Brian White gains possession ahead of Meath's Damien Carroll.
Louth's Brian White is counting down the hours to 3pm on Sunday.

That's when the Wee County are due to open their 2013 Leinster SFC campaign against Laois in Portlaoise and the Cooley Kickhams ace - named at centre forward on Aidan O'Rourke's Louth XV - tells The Drogheda Independent:

"We can't wait for Sunday and I certainly can't because I haven't played a championship game in two years. Dublin in the qualifiers [in 2010] was my last game and that didn't work out too well for me personally or the team, so I can't wait to get back at it again.

"I came home last year with the intentions of playing championship football but it just didn't work out. The last time I played aren't very good memories.

"Everything is going well. Aidan has a set system and everyone is tuned into it. If we stick to that against Laois, it should work out our way."
