Brosnan left frustrated

Kerry's Eoin Brosnan
Kerry captain Eoin Brosnan admits that it has been a frustrating start to the year.

Brosnan has had a stop-start beginning to his reign as captain as a succession of niggling injuries have hampered him.

Indeed, the three times All-Ireland winner is a major doubt for Sunday's Munster SFC opener against Tipperary at Tralee, even though he has returned to full training.

"It's been frustrating being on the sideline over the last five weeks watching the lads do a lot of work while I've been doing a lot of strength work in the gym, different to what the lads have been at in terms of the more explosive and powerful drills," Brosnan told the Kerryman.

"I have been integrated back into the sessions more recently and I was delighted to go through my first full session with them last Thursday."
