Kerry captain to miss out

Kerry's Eoin Brosnan
Eoin Brosnan and Jonathan Lyne are expected to sit out Kerry's Munster SFC opener against Tipperary in Killarney on Sunday.

Brosnan, the team captain, is struggling with a thigh muscle problem, while forward Lyne is recovering from ankle ligament damage. If, as expected, Brosnan fails to make it, his Dr Crokes club-mate Colm Cooper will skipper the Kingdom at Fitzgerald Stadium.

Another Dr Crokes man, Johnny Buckley, will make his first championship start at midfield, with Declan O'Sullivan, Paul Galvin, Kieran Donaghy, Donnchadh Walsh and Cooper set to start in attack.

James O'Donoghue and Darran O'Sullivan will battle it out for the remaining attacking berth.
