Brewster Park has been given the green light to host the Ulster SFC quarter-final meeting of Fermanagh and Cavan on June 16, despite the G8 summit taking place just a few miles from the ground over the following two days.

US president Barack Obama will be among the world leaders who will descend on the Lough Erne Resort for the event, which is expected to lead to tight security in and around Enniskillen. But in spite of this, Ulster Council chiefs have decided to go head-to-head with the two-day conference after Cavan's victory over Armagh yesterday paved the way for the Enniskillen showdown.

"Plans will be made to ensure the game can be operated as appropriate to an Ulster SFC game," and Ulster Council statement read.

"Further details will be issued in due course."
