Limerick hurlers have received a boost ahead of the Munster SHC as captain Donal O'Grady has returned to full fitness.

O'Grady has been sidelined he broke his collarbone during the division 1B league win over Carlow in April.

However, the Limerick skipper lined out for his club last weekend and also played in the challenge match against the county's under-21s on Tuesday night.

Speaking to the Limerick Leader, John Allen said: "He (O'Grady) came through ok and he played again on Tuesday night so that is two good games for him.

"The club games offered us a break because of the long gap between the league and the championship. We are back now and everyone is reinvigorated for the championship."
