Mark McHugh faces a race against time to be fit for Donegal ahead of their Ulster SFC quarter-final against Tyrone on May 26th.

The Irish Daily Star reports that a hamstring injury has cast doubt over the All Star's availability for the All-Ireland champions for the crunch Ulster clash.

Better news for Donegal supporters is that Footballer of the Year Karl Lacey came through his first training session last night unscathed.

Lacey has not played since the All-Ireland final win over Mayo due to a hip injury and his return is a big boost to Jim McGuinness' men.

Neil Gallagher and Paddy McGrath are also making steady progress on the road to recovery from injuries and both took part in training last night.
