Niall McLoughlin's 9th minute goal was crucial as Cluainin Iomaint claimed a first Leitrim SHC title since 1959 at Carrick-on-Shannon on Saturday.
Entering the final quarter, Cluainin trailed by 1-8 to 0-12 but they were back on level terms when Garry Hickey pointed a free with three minutes left on the clock.
Michael Poniard gave them the lead with a point before Micheal Dolan rounded off the scoring with a converted free.
