Albanians Back Down!

The Albanians started following the Down football team on television because of their red and black colours
A group of Albanians living in Belfast have jumped on the Down Ulster Final Bandwagon. The Albanians who run a car wash business in the south of the City have been living in Belfast for 10 years and began following the Down football team on television because of their red and black colours. On Sunday they'll take their support for the Mourne Men a step further when they travel to Clones to cheer on their heroes in person carrying their red and black Albanian national flag.

Edon "Eddie" Hyka the owner of the carwash explained that the trip was organised after a chance encounter with a customer. "This guy came in with a Down sticker on his car and he was very surprised when I started to discuss the Monaghan match with him. He liked our interest in the team and offered to get us tickets for the final. We are very happy to be going to the big game and hope Down win". The four friends are travelling to the match on a bus organised by customers of the Parador Inn on Belfast's Ormeau Road and plan to bring a bit of Balkan colour to their first ever Ulster Final.
