Mayo win Connacht yet go down the pecking order. ©INPHO
After the weekend's Connacht SFC final and qualifier round 2 results, the race for the Sam Maguire Cup is beginning to get interesting.

Last week, hoganstand.com rated all counties on their record in 2012 and we've revised the list following the outcomes of the latest games.

Cork, Donegal and Dublin occupy the top three spots in that order but, following their 11-point victory over Roscommon, Tyrone are breathing down their necks and jump from eight place to number four in the table.

Mayo weren't overly impressive in their 0-12 to 0-10 Connacht final win over Sligo and slip one place to number five while Kerry - unconvincing against Westmeath - slide four places down the pecking order to nine.

Kildare, meanwhile, got back on track with a 3-20 to 1-9 annihilation of Cavan and Kieran McGeeney's Lilywhites will fancy their chances against Limerick in round three of the qualifiers.
