Derry's Emmet Bradley and Sean Hurley of Kildare are a step closer to signing AFL contracts.
Following on from trials held by AFL talent scout and 2009 Kerry All-Ireland winner Tadhg Kennelly at the National Basketball Arena in February, and further trials which took place in Guilford, London over the Easter period, Bradley and Hurley have been invited to Melbourne for a further round of trials at the end of September.
Both players are regarded as among the hottest prospects in Gaelic football at present with Bradley - who is currently in Boston - having featured for Derry in their recent Ulster SFC quarter-final defeat to Donegal.
Hurley was introduced as a substitute in Kildare's Leinster SFC semi-final loss to Dublin last year, but was subsequently dropped from Kieran McGeeney's squad for attending the Oxygen Music Festival a few hours after the Lilywhites' All-Ireland qualifier victory over Laois in Portlaoise.
According to The Irish News, Bradley recorded the best height for a standing jump, and was also tops when it came to stamina, at last February's trial in Dublin.
