Bradley expects 'frustrating afternoon'

Derry's Paddy Bradley
Derry captain Paddy Bradley believes that Donegal's tactics will stifle their play.

Bradley watched on as Donegal booked their place in the Ulster quarterfinal following a six-point win over Cavan last Sunday.

Derry are the next opposition for the defending Ulster champions as the sides prepare to meet at Ballybofey on Sunday, June 16th.

And Bradley knows that Donegal will use their defensive tactics against John Brennan's charges, which could leave them searching for an alternative route to goal.

"I'd say it will be a frustrating enough afternoon," Bradley admitted to the County Derry Post. "A lot of players will be double teamed and there won't be a lot of space available.

"It can get fairly frustrating especially as a forward when you want to go out and run up a big score of show off your skills, but you're being spoiled so you don't really have that luxury.

"It's hard to watch to be honest, but that's the way the game is going and we just have to adapt. I suppose you can blame Tyrone or Armagh for introducing it, but then, in Donegal's case they were at a stage where they hadn't won anything for so long and they had to try something, and deploying that system, certainly made them harder to beat."
