Carlow concerns for Ryan

Carlow hurling manager Kevin Ryan
Carlow hurling manager Kevin Ryan has admitted that their championship preparations have been far from ideal.
On Sunday, Carlow take on Laois in the Leinster championship and following their division 2 title win, it was expected that the Barrowsiders would push on.
They have been tipped by many to cause a surprise and defeat Laois, but Ryan revealed to the Carlow Nationalist that the effort was not being put in by all the squad.
"It's a little bit up in the air at the moment with numbers, being honest," said Ryan. We had 14 training each night during the week so you might say the hard work should be done, but it's not.
"The hard work was there to be done but we just hadn't the numbers. It's kind of sad after having won the league."
