Hughes withdraws from Ulster team

Down's Danny Hughes
Injury has forced Danny Hughes to pull out of the Ulster squad for Sunday's M Donnelly inter-provincial semi-final against Connacht.
The Down forward was named in manager Joe Kernan's starting XV on Tuesday night, but recurring knee and hamstring problems have ruled him out of the Markievicz Park tie. Kernan is already planning without a host of key forwards, including Stephen O'Neill, Michael Murphy, Paddy Bradley and Jamie Clarke, while Paul Finlay's involvement is in doubt following the death of his father Kieran on Tuesday. The Monaghan star was originally named among the substitutes.
Derry's Conleith Gilligan, Antrim's Tomas McCann and Monaghan's Kieran Hughes are in line to replace Danny Hughes.
