Brosnan in line for Kerry recall

Kerry's Eoin Brosnan
Kerry are said to be considering the possibility of recalling Eoin Brosnan into the squad in an effort to solve their problems at midfield.

A report in today's Irish Examiner suggests that the three-time All-Ireland winner, who hasn't featured for the Kingdom since the 2009 Munster Championship, is being considered for recall by manager Jack O'Connor following a string of superb performances for Dr Crokes which helped his club to a Munster club SFC final last month.

In that decider against Nemo Rangers, Brosnan's move to centre-field helped spark a revival from the Kerry champions which almost saw them turn around a 13-point deficit.

However, whether or not the 31-year-old can be tempted to make a comeback is open to question, having announced his inter-county retirement at the end of '09.
